DORSET is set to shiver even more as widespread frost and ice is expected overnight and into Sunday.
Temperatures may dip to as low as -5 degrees in some areas.
The Met Office has said some light snow flurries remain possible, but these are more likely to be in the east of the county.
Tomorrow will see similar conditions to today with a maximum temperature of just 2 degrees.
Dorset County Council gritting vehicles have been out on the roads this afternoon and will be out again at 4.30am tomorrow.
South West Trains plan to operate a normal Sunday service subject to engineering works.
A decision on the timetable for Monday has yet to be reached.
A spokesman said: "We are aware that further snow is currently predicted for Sunday and Monday so we will make a decision tomorrow on the timetable that will run on Monday to allow passengers to plan their journeys. We would continue to advise passengers to check for service updates before they travel."
Police have urged motorists to travel with caution taking extra care in icy conditions.
