RUBBISH and recycling collections were suspended due to the bad weather.
Kerbside collections were suspended and all Household Recycling Centres (HRC) closed.
The county council issued advice to homeowners wishing to visit the HRCs, advising them to ‘delay any visit until weather and road conditions improve.’ Homeowners were advised to ‘take waste and recycling containers back inside and place them out on your next collection day.’ In Weymouth and Portland side waste will also be collected on the next collection day.
A county council spokesman said: “We hope to be catching up next week with Friday’s collections being carried out on Monday and subsequent collections later next week.
“Crews will work on Saturday, January 26, to catch up with Friday’s work.”
He added: “Please keep your waste containers out and they will be collected as soon as it is safe to do so.”
