QUIZ Night held recently in Rampisham Hall was as successful as ever. The hall was full and everyone attending enjoyed the challenging and entertaining questions, as well as the legendary supper!
The winners on this occasion were ‘5 go mad’. The team are seen in the photograph receiving their prize.
Thanks go to the organisers and helpers who ensured that everyone had a good time and at the same time raised a good sum of money for the village.
THE TENNIS Club will be holding a Quiz Night in the Fox and Hounds, Cattistock, at 7.30pm on Friday, November 30.
You can enter a team of up to 6 people at £3 per person.
There will be prizes for both winners and muppets. Please come along and support the tennis club.

There will be stalls, mince pies, mulled wine and carol singing.
THERE will be a Christmas Produce Sale in Chilfrome Church on Sunday, December 2 from 11am until 3pm.
Produce will include jams and cakes of high quality and good value.
SARAH, our local Police Community Support Officer will be in the Fox and Hounds, Cattistock, between midday and 1pm on Friday, December 7.

MELBURY Osmund Big Quiz takes place on Friday, December 7 in Melbury Osmund Village Hall from 7pm.
The cost is £6 per person.
A maximum of 6 people per table is preferred.
Tickets include a light supper and there will be an excellent bar. The chairman will also run a raffle.
The theme for this year is ‘The Jubilee Year’, so why not come along dressed appropriately – red, white and blue, wearing royal regalia, as an Olympian or representing a country that took part in London 2012 – or maybe you could take a theme from the opening or closing ceremonies!
There is a lot of fun to be had – and, of course, there is the excitement of the quiz itself.

Father Christmas will be in his grotto. There will also be a bottle tombola, cakes and savouries, house plants, produce, books, raffle, toys, hampers and Christmas gifts.
Items for the sale will be most welcome either before the day or on the morning of the event.. All proceeds from this event will go towards paying for insurance of the church.
THERE will be a Christmas Meal in Maiden Newton Village Hall on Saturday, December 8 – a 4-course meal with all the trimmings plus entertainment. Please arrive at 7 for 7.30pm. Tickets cost £10 (children £5).

It takes place at Stratton Village Hall on Saturday, December 8 from 8pm until late.
There will be dancing to Goldie Rox. Posh frocks and DJ’s are optional.

The draw will take place after the carol service, which is in the church at 3pm on Sunday, December 9.
