POPE Jill Peacefully on 17th March 2024, aged 90 years. Loving wife of the late Alan. Mother of Karen, Grahame and Fiona, grandmother and great-grandmother. Electronic engineer, champion of universal education, historian and research for the first live community plays. Funeral Service will take place at St George's Church, Fordington on Monday 22nd April at 1.00pm. Family flowers only. I remember Jill. She and my mum Barbara Askew were firm allies in the Nursery School and Pre-School Playgroup world. It is strange that they should have their funerals on the same day! The picture below shows Jill and my Mum at what I believe was the opening of the Nursery School in Dorchester
