It’s not by pure coincidence, that my middle name, was from my father’s brother, a man of little fame.
A man who didn’t rock the world, or sail the seven seas, No General of an army vast who brought an empire to its knees.
It’s true he had a Scottish name, a noble name and fine, perhaps that’s why this first born son was christened at the time,
Gordon Alexander, it has a certain ring, though antiques and the odd brush stroke were more our Gordons thing.
Gordon was a patient man, a humble man, a friend, to anyone who needed him until the very end.
He cared when others would have failed, considered vows once given, were there to honor all your life, a man of single vision.
A Father, Brother Grandfather, A Husband, and Friend. I like to think that Uncle Gordon left here to Ascend. God Bess you Gordon.
