DERING Jo After a short illness on 17th January 2024, aged 54 years. Sadly missed by her father John, Pam, and her brothers and sister Chris, Su and Andy. A service to celebrate Jo's life will be held at Larkmead School, Abingdon on Tuesday 13th February at 4.30pm. No flowers, please. Donations if desired for Cancer Research UK c/o Edward Carter (FD), 107 South Avenue, Abingdon, OX14 1QS.

Ms dering was my maths teacher 2002-2005 I got on very well with her because of my talent at x country, and athletics and she’d often give me great advice, it wasn’t until one of my coaches pointed her out that she was a gb athlete in her day. The next time I went to maths I told her of what i discovered and she smiled, I was awful at maths, awful at school even, but in that classroom I was well behaved due to the respect I had for ms dering. Rest in peace to an angel iv often thought about you ❤️ I also remember the tsunami 2004 charity Run we did and you ran an amazing 14 laps which was around 18 miles
