SYMONDS Cecilia Louisa ( Lou ) The Symonds family are sad to announce that Lou Symonds died on 4th December 2023 having attained the wonderful age of 105 on 26th July 2023. A lifelong resident of Radipole Village, near Weymouth, she will be missed by all the family and friends who knew her for many qualities but most of all for her sense of humour and kindness. Mother to Graham, Martin, and Gordon (who died in 2019), and grandmother to Rachel, William, Oliver, Henry, Michael, Adam, Carol, and Yvonne, Great-Grandmother, Aunt, and Great- Aunt. Her funeral will take place at the Weymouth Crematorium on Friday 22nd December 2023 at 2.30pm followed by a reception at the St Ann's Church School Building in Radipole Village. Anyone who knew Lou, and wish to attend, will be very welcome. Flowers Welcome, but at Lou's request no wreaths. At her request donations may be made to PAWS Weymouth and Portland Animal Welfare Society to Grassby and Stockting Funeral Service, 22, Crescent Street, Weymouth, Dorset DT4 7BX or can be made online by visiting : www.stockting-funeral.co.uk.

Lou was part of my growing up. We collected the Echo from Mrs Glover who lived in the house that used to be next-door. 'Character' is an understatement!
