BENNETT JOHN (Henry John) John died peacefully at home on 1st August aged 75 years. Much loved husband of Hilary for 54 years and much loved father of Bronya and Rachel and grandfather of Dylan and Belle. He was deputy head of Southwell School, Portland, then deputy Registrar of Births, Marriages and Deaths. The funeral service for John will take place at St Mary's Church, Chickerell at 1.00pm on Wednesday 30th August. Come as you please. Sending sincere condolences to Hilary and the family. So many lovely memories of John whilst working at the school and at Portland Dolphins. Special times when he married our son ( by special request). A true gentleman and special man who will be missed.
