SANSOM Jack Douglas 28.10.1921 TO 14.08.2022 (100 YEARS) After a long innings DAD was finally given out by the umpire in the sky. Dad passed away peacefully at home early on Sunday morning 14th August 2022. Much loved husband of the late Florence Lilian (Liz) Loving father to Paul and Derek, Father in law to Linda and Mary. Cherished Papa to Carolyn, Pauline, Lisa, Gemma and James. Proud Great grandfather to Mason, Jade, Alexander and Avery. A celebration of Dad's life will take place at Easton Methodist Church on Friday 9th September 2022 at 11-30 am followed by a private burial at Portland Cemetery. (Coloured clothes, rather than black attire, would be preferred). Family flowers only please but if desired donations can be made to PORTLAND YMCA and/or EASTON METHODIST CHURCH and can be sent c/o ROSE FUNERAL SERVICE 23 SHRUBBERY LANE WEYMOUTH DORSET DT4 9LY. Last, but not least, may we thank Dad's exceptional carers that have helped him over the last 21 months, staff at the SUGAR LOAF who have supplied him with meals for well over a decade, the staff at THE ROYAL MANOR MEDICAL CENTRE for their help and kindness in his times of need and finally the numerous Portlanders. Past and present, who enabled Dad to have enjoyed such a happy life.
