SYMES Brenda Marie Penny It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Brenda Marie 'Penny' Symes at home in Cumbria on 5th August 2022, aged 84 years. Beloved mother of Chris and Jane, Mother-in-law to Guy and Sunita and Grandmother to Alastair and Jeremy. A family Cremation is to be held in Cumbria but an open Memorial Service will take place in Weymouth during October. Details to follow.

Fondly remembering the fun, laughter, and tears we shared during our Nurse Training with the Dorset School Of Nursing in 1981, but especially the drive to St Leonard's with you on a Sunday evening and home again on Friday, during our initial 4 week residential induction there. Our time spent in the Nurses Home for those 4 weeks were full of fun and will always be remembered. My condolences to Chris. Jane and all the family at this sad time. Karen Hunt ( nee Runyeard )
