TURNER Denis Matthew Passed away on 28th June 2022 after a long illness bravely borne, at Earl Mountbatten Hospice, Isle of Wight, aged 76. Born in Weymouth and from school worked on steam trains. Moved to Surrey and became a police sergeant working with dogs. A very special husband, father, grandfather and brother to John & Maurice. Loved so much and missed everyday by Julie, and sons Sean, Elvin, Simon & Ben and all of the family. Rest easy my love.Tributes

I am very sorry to read that Denis Turner has passed away.
I also started work on the railway at Weymouth in 1963 and knew Denis well until about 1969 when he moved away.
It was good times.
I will be forever grateful for meeting up again with Denis and Julie for a nice lunch in Albi France June 2014.
Our heartfelt condolences to Julie and family.
