TOP Elvis tribute act Lee ‘Memphis’ King is making a rare appearance at Lighthouse in Poole next month. Like no other Elvis Presley show, the performance starts with the riveting black leather-clad ’68 Comeback Special and runs to the legendary Vegas Years.
With a big band to recreate the Elvis’s Vegas years and multimedia screens and projection, this is the biggest Elvis show to tour theatres in the UK.
Lee ‘Memphis’ King began perfecting the voice of Elvis at the age of five, the start of a lifelong obsession to get the sound as close as possible, with his professional career beginning in 2001.
In just 10 years Lee has achieved his goal of becoming the most successful Elvis tribute artist in Europe, winning the title of Best Professional Elvis Tribute In The World at the 2005 Collinwood Elvis Festival.
This is the biggest and most prolific festival of its kind. Some recent TV accolades include World’s Greatest Elvis (The only finalist from Europe) and The Weakest Link Elvis Special.
Lee’s One Night of Elvis show has toured the UK and Ireland since 2006 and performed sell out concerts at all of the major venues including Birmingham NIA, Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, Bristol Hippodrome, Manchester Bridgewater Hall, London IndigO2 and Belfast Waterfront Theatre.
Catch him in Poole on November 5 at 8pm. For tickets and full details call 0844 406 8666.
