IF YOU are nifty with a needle or simply fancy having a go at sewing, Dorchester Stitchers are keen to enlist your services to create a beautiful wall hanging.

The work will be a celebration of Jurassic Dorset in the 21st century and will feature all the things that make the county what it is – as well as the prehistoric creatures and characters from its history.

The workshop will involve painting, stitching, sticking and felting images and scenes will include an Olympic seascape, Dorset landscape, rural farmland and a beach.

Work packs will be available and Dorchester Stitchers will be on hand to help and guide people of all ages. No experience is needed.

The wall hanging workshops are in the United Church hall, South Street, Dorchester on Friday, May 27 from noon until 4pm and the following day from 10am to 4pm and you can stay as long as you want.
