STROLL down Dorchester’s high street and history leaps out at you.
On Saturday, May 14, Dorset’s county town celebrates Museums at Night.
All six of the town’s museums plus the Roman Town House will be open from 5pm to 9pm and a family can gain entrance to all of them for just £6.
You can see Hitler’s desk, Roman mosaics, Tutankhamun’s funerary mask, Thomas Hardy’s study, the skeleton of Megalosaurus and much more.
Advance tickets can be purchased from the Dorchester TIC in Antelope Walk or any of the participating museums. Tickets on the night are £10.
Some eateries are participating with special offers. Just show your ticket.
