FABULOUS drama and music are all in the melting pot this weekend. The King of Denmark is dead. Consumed with grief, Prince Hamlet devotes himself to avenging his father’s death with devastating consequences for his family and the kingdom.
Icarus Theatre are at Lighthouse in Poole today and tomorrow with their highly acclaimed dynamic adaptation of Hamlet. Directed by Max Lewendel and with a stellar cast picked from more than 100 auditions, you can see the play at 7.30pm on both days. Tickets are £16.50.
Looking ahead to next week, Dillie Keane joins forces with Kit and the Widow at Lighthouse for a fabulous tribute show in honour of Noel Coward.
Cowardy Custard runs from Tuesday, May 10 to Thursday 12 and revisits excerpts from The Master’s best-loved comedies interspersed with his songs.
Performances are at 7.30pm with a 2.30pm Wednesday matinee and tickets are £17.50.

The Briantspuddle Singers are back in action tomorrow night, raising money for St Andrew’s Church in Bloxworth with their Songs for a Summer Evening.
The concert in the church at 7.30pm will be made up of sacred and secular music from six centuries and tickets are £7.50 in advance, £10 on the door.

Looking ahead to next week, Weymouth Pavilion is staging a top show to give everyone a laugh in these trying times.
Having made dynamic appearances on the Michael McIntyre Comedy Roadshow, Mike Gunn and Sean Collins have teamed up to present Still on the Roadshow, a unique double bill show that not only offers solo sets from each but which also culminates with both comics on stage together.
This is the opportunity to witness two of the finest stand-up comedians performing in the UK today. With super slick delivery and killer punchlines, Mike and Sean are at the top of their game and prove that good comedy is not just a young man’s game.
