IN SOME ways, childhood remains just as it always was. Footballs and marbles have been around for centuries and skipping games were enjoyed as much by Victorian children as in Dorset schools today.
But In other ways childhood has changed beyond recognition.
The new family exhibition at Dorset County Museum - Growing Pains: Childhood Through The Ages will show how childhood changed between 1850 and 1950.
The exhibition runs from Saturday, June 7, until Saturday, September 27, in Dorset County Museum, High West Street, Dorchester.
