CLOUDS HILL
BOVINGTON, DORSET
IT is hard to believe that T. E. Lawrence, also known as Lawrence of Arabia, resided in this humble brick and tile cottage.
This peaceful retreat was where the archaeologist, military officer and diplomat was staying just before he died in a motorbike accident in 1935.
The austere rooms contain Lawrence's own furnishing and photographs.
Clouds Hill, which is looked after by the National Trust, will this year be celebrating T.E.Lawrence's many journeys and look back on his involvement in the First World War.
There will be activities and special events held throughout the year. See nationaltrust.org.uk/clouds-hill
