WHAT: A centre dedicated to providing information on fossils, fossil hunting and the local coastal and marine wildlife.
WHERE: Lower Sea Lane, Charmouth, Dorset. DT6 6LL (01297 560772)
OPEN: Daily 10:30am-4:30pm between Easter and October, Wednesday to Sunday 10:30am-4:30pm from November to March. The centre may be also be closed at certain times if the wardens are on the beach with a school or group.
COST: Free, but donations always welcome
DETAILS: Facilities at the centre include interactive computers, hands on displays, marine tanks and a video microscope. There are regular walks and talks.
Charmouth Beach is on the doorstep and offers the chance to get out, explore and find your own fossils
