WHATEVER the weather, there’s lots to do, see and enjoy this bank holiday weekend. Village fetes, family theatre, live music and much more is being laid on all over Dorset and the county’s many tourist attractions are also preparing themselves for a bumper weekend and half-term week.
If the weather is fair, why not head to the beach in traditional family style?
Or pack a picnic and get out and explore the area’s gorgeous scenery.
Should it rain, there are museums, children’s farms and bustling town centres to keep you busy.
Dorset has an increasingly thriving art scene and artists from Weymouth, Portland and the Bridport area of West Dorset are also throwing open their studio, galleries and homes this weekend and inviting the public in to say hello, watch work in progress and maybe even but a piece of unique, original artwork.
On Saturday, the pedestrian South Street in Dorchester, right, will be thronging with a traditional food market – the perfect opportunity to buy some delicious goodies for the rest of the weekend.
Whatever you have planned, don’t forget to check the entertainment pages of your Dorset Echo and the newspaper’s website each day for an up-to-the-minute guide to events.
