YOU could be sailing away from Southampton next year for a wonderful flower-filled escape to the cities of Amsterdam and Rotterdam. Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines’ new flagship Bolette will be sailing over to the Netherlands in late April for a feast of sights, scents and flavours.
After leaving Southampton early evening, you will arrive for an overnight stay in Amsterdam the following afternoon, docking just one mile from the centre of this famous canal city – home to over 40 museums plus bookshops, boutiques and cafes. It will be the perfect time of year to experience the seasonal delights of the Keukenhof Gardens, where millions of tulips burst into life in the Spring. You will also get a chance to visit the Floriade Expo – one of the leading horticultural exhibitions in the world.
Then it is on to the Rotterdam, the second largest city in The Netherlands – rebuilt after being bombed heavily during World War II. The city is home to the Maritime Museum and the Pilgrim Fathers Church where people worshipped before embarking for America.
Bolette is one of the largest ships in the Fred. Olsen fleet but accommodates fewer than 1,400 guests. So everyone on board can benefit from plenty of space to relax, enjoy public areas like the all-season pool and two-tiered entertainment theatre and the personal service for which Fred. Olsen is so well known.
She has 690 cabins, 11 bars and lounges and six restaurants, which serve a tempting choice of cuisine throughout the day. Bolette, the flagship of the company, bears the name of Fred. Olsen Jr.’s great-great-grandmother, as have many other Olsen vessels over the years. She epitomises the Fred. Olsen traditional style of cruising with a full programme of evening entertainment and full use of swimming pools, Jacuzzis and gym.
We have team up with Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines to offer one lucky reader the chance to win a five-night cruise for two on this amazing trip to Amsterdam and Rotterdam.
This is a token collect competition, buy a copy of the Dorset Echo every day this week to find out more on how to take part. If you have missed tokens back copies can be ordered by calling 01305 830811.
