Adoption of the West Dorset, Weymouth & Portland Joint Local Plan and Community Infrastructure Levy Charging Schedules
West Dorset District Council and Weymouth & Portland Borough Council have formally adopted their joint Local Plan and Community Infrastructure Levy charging schedules.
The Local Plan now forms a key element of the development plan for West Dorset District and Weymouth and Portland Borough and supersedes the West Dorset Local Plan 2006 and the Weymouth and Portland Local Plan 2005. The newly adopted Local Plan contains the policies that will guide development until 2031, covering important topics such as housing, employment and the environment and identifying sites for development.
When implemented, the Community Infrastructure Levy charging schedules will be used to fund a wide range of infrastructure that is needed as a result of development.

Copies of these documents are available for inspection at the Councils' offices between 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am to 4.30pm Fridays. Copies are also at local libraries in West Dorset and Weymouth & Portland.
