NOTICE OF CONFIRMATION OF PUBLIC PATH ORDER TOWN AND COUNTY PLANNING ACT 1990 S.257 THE WEST DORSET DISTRICT COUNCIL PUBLIC FOOTPATH NO. 4 (PART) PARISH OF PORTESHAM PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 2014
On 1st April 2015 West Dorset District Council confirmed the above order. The effect of the order as confirmed is to divert the public footpath running from running from point A, the western end of footpath 4 at its junction with Front Street, grid reference SY 6031 8596 in an easterly direction for 200 metres to point B, grid reference SY 6051 8594, to a line running from point C, grid reference SY 6031 8595, a point on the public highway at Front Street, in an east-north-easterly direction for 48 metres to point D, grid reference SY 6035 8596, then continuing in an easterly direction for 165 metres to point B, grid reference SY 6051 8594, as shown on the order map.
A copy of the Order as confirmed and the Order map may be seen free of charge at the Council's offices at South Walks House, South Walks Road, Dorchester, DT1 1UZ between 9.00 am and 4.30pm on weekdays. Copies of the Order and map may be purchased.
This order came into force on 1st April 2015 but if any person aggrieved by the Order wants to question its validity, or that of any provision contained in it, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990, or on the ground that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the confirmation of the Order, he or she may apply to the High Court for any of these purposes under s.287 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 within 6 weeks from the date on which notice is first published as required by paragraph 7 of Schedule 14 to the Act.
