WEYMOUTH have secured promising left-back Leo Hamblin for the 2024/25 Vanarama National League South season.
Hamblin made 45 appearances in all competitions during his debut Terras season, providing three assists.
The 21-year-old former Woking, Hampton & Richmond and Farnborough full-back was deeply impressive in his first campaign at the Bob Lucas Stadium.
In particular, his crossing ability from the left wing conjured memories of Ollie Harfield in Weymouth’s National League days.

And, with his defending also proving a big asset, Weymouth manager Mark Molesley has moved to sign one of the Terras’ stand-out performers.
In a club statement, Weymouth said: “Leo joined us originally last summer, and he has gone from strength to strength in the process, having registered three assists last season, two of which proved to be crucial goals in games memorable to all.
“Hamblin saw through 45 appearances in his first season as a Terra, topping the defenders’ charts for most minutes played and affirming his name as a strong fan favourite.
“We will now continue to see our exciting left-back compete in claret and blue for a further season.”
Hamblin was expected to have competition for his services this summer, given his base in the South East.
However, his confirmation at the Terras will be a major boost for those in claret and blue as they continue to keep important cogs in their ranks for 2024/25.
Hamblin joins Charlie Rowan, skipper Tom Bearwish, Keelan O’Connell, Josh McQuoid and Brandon Goodship in committing to Weymouth for next season.
Currently, only Joel Rollinson, Anthony Cheshire, Tyrique Clarke and Teddy Howe have been confirmed as leaving the club.
