WEYMOUTH Cowboys have secured a new sponsor in the form of Coleman Insurance Brokers.
Joining Mission Fitness Gym and Massage Weymouth, the insurance brokers have gone on board to help the club’s men’s third team, who will now be known as the Weymouth Coleman Insurance Cowboys.
A spokesman for Coleman Insurance Brokers said: “Cole-man are proud to support Weymouth Basketball Club and look forward to supporting the Cowboys in their first season in Division One.”
The club is growing every week as players are coming from as far as Poole and Yeovil to join the club’s playing membership.
Speaking on behalf of Weymouth Basketball, Alex Fuhrmann said: “After last season we had difficulty with filling all the teams and roster positions.
“It’s been the opposite this year as we have attracted new players as well as players who had stepped away from basketball.”
Weymouth have signed a flurry of talent in the off season, including Liam Wyatt, who previously plied his trade for National League side Solent and spent several years playing in the United States College system.
Mike Willemse has previously played in National League Division One with Manchester Magic, and re-signed Ian Manley has also represented Taunton and Solent in the National League.
