DORCHESTER’S annual town meeting is taking place as an informal event today (May 16) in the Corn Exchange.
It will be opened at 11am with committee reports presented at noon and continues until 1pm.
Dorchester Town Council say the event, which will have over 20 local community and voluntary groups represented, offers the chance for residents to meet some of the groups and councillors and discover the work each has been involved in.
Said a town council spokesperson: “We are pleased to be hosting our second informal Annual Town Meeting and would like to invite all local residents to come along and speak with their local councillors and meet with some of the great community organisations we support in the town. We will be presenting formal reports at noon about the work the Town Council has been involved with over the last year, so do join us to find out how your local council has been serving you”.
