A DRIVER who travelled 118mph on the A35 in Dorset has been fined hundreds of pounds and banned from driving for six months.
Georgian-Valeriu Huzdup, aged 35, of Cromwell Street, Gloucester, exceeded the 70mph limit along the route at Tolpuddle on July 17, 2022.
Weymouth Magistrates' Court heard Huzdup travelled at a speed of 118mph in a Mercedes car last year. He was not present for the hearing on Tuesday, July 25.
The A35 is a major road which has a limit of 70mph when it becomes a dual carriageway.
Huzdup was fined £660 and told to pay £354 in costs for the offence, which he must pay by Tuesday, August 22.
He was also banned from driving for six months.
