A MAN from Weymouth has received a suspended sentence after breaching the terms of his restraining order.
Edward Norman Wilmot, whose address was given as Crescent Street in Weymouth, appeared before Weymouth Magistrates Court on Monday, March 20 for sentencing.
Wilmot, 40, admitted breaching a restraining order that was imposed in February of last year.
The breach relates to a course of conduct between April 3 and April 9 of last year when he repeatedly phoned, texted, and entered the home of his victim.
Wilmot initially pleaded not guilty at a previous court hearing but changed his plea.
He was committed to prison for 12 weeks, suspended for 18 months, because of the seriousness of the offence and a renewed restraining order was imposed to last until September 19, 2024.
He must also pay £156 to fund victim services.
