CHAIRMAN Martyn Harrison says Terras fans shouldn't panic over the resignation of finance director Chris Pugsley who quit the Wessex Stadium earlier this week.
The Dorchester-based accountant is understood to have become disillusioned with Harrison letting his heart rule his head' when funding Wey-mouth's Conference South promotion push through his Hollybush Hotels firm.
But Harrison, who owns nearly 90 per cent of Weymouth's shares, is not concerned about Pugsley quitting.
"I don't want to comment in detail on the reason behind Chris's resignation apart from thanking him for his service to the club." he said.
"Chris may feel I let my heart rule my head in terms of spending at the club but all I'll say on that is that I desperately want success for Weymouth and will fund what I think it takes.
"As long as it's affordable, it's okay."
Meanwhile winger Darren Wheeler has been recalled from his loan spell at Chippenham Town following an outbreak of sickness in the Terras camp.
Missing today's trip to Bognor Regis Town are midfielder John McGrath, who has a mild bout of pneumonia and ill strikers Craig O'Connor and Kirk Jackson.
"John McGrath, Craig O'Connor and Kirk Jackson were told to stay away from training yesterday because we don't want any of the other lads picking it up," said boss Garry Hill.
"With Steve Clark also out suspended at Bognor today, our squad strength has been hit which is why Darren Wheeler has been recalled from Chippenham."
