BRIDPORT'S Calum Croft provided the expected win for Primera-TeamJobs at the 40-mile Sandie Radford Road Race.
Croft's aggressive young team-mate, Ed Hatfield was clear in second place.
Oscar Hutchings had set the move up, stringing the bunch out on the lower slopes of the wooded climb on the edge of Nomansland in the New Forest.
Hutchings acceleration was the springboard for Croft's success but may have cost the Primera outfit a clean sweep as the legs filled with lactate.
Croft said: "What a relief. I'm really happy to bring it home for Primera-TeamJobs.
"As the top team the pressure was really on us to win but the guys stayed focused and kept order in the race.
"I didn't really want to leave it to a sprint on the last hill, its always better to narrow the odds by making an earlier break but nothing seemed to be sticking.
"I've done a lot of really tough 80+ mile hilly elite races this year, so on this shorter circuit I was feeling pretty fresh in the finale.
"I am by no means a pure climber but having just the one time up the punchy hill at the end suits my power profile much better, and I've got to thank Oscar Hutchigns for putting me in the perfect position to do my thing, because that's half of the battle right there.
"I'm really happy for young Ed Hatfield too, he chased down countless attacks all day to keep the peloton together, and still came second behind me, all in his first road race, he's a real talent."
