A JOHN Wayne film is the next movie to be screened at Age UK's Evergreens Cinema in Dorchester tomorrow.
'Big' John Wayne along with his favourite co-star Maureen O’Hara pull out all the stops in the 1952 rip-roaring comedy film The Quiet Man.
It will be shown at the Evergreens Cinema at Age UK Dorchester on Wednesday, March 14.
Set in 1920s Galway, the film tells the story of Sean Thornton an Irish- American ex-boxer returning to his ancestral village to buy back the family home, incurring the wrath of the neighbouring squire along the way, but falls in love with Mary Kate Danaher, the squire’s sister. With an all-star cast of Hollywood stalwarts, this sparkling film directed by the great John Ford is a treat not to be missed. The cinema lights will dim at 1.45pm, tea and biscuits will be served during the showing for £1.50, ice creams will also be available.
Everyone is welcome to come along to the Evergreens Cinema at Age UK Dorchester’s centre in Prince of Wales Road
