NEW family history courses are planned to run in Bridport from September to December.
New courses hosted by Marsh Barn this autumn include two-day beginner sessions looking at birth, death, marriage and census records dating back to 1837.
Other two-day courses include pre-1837 records, looking at parish and poor law documents and wills.
There are also refresher courses and other sessions looking at land tax, estate and tithe maps, poll books and militia records.
Other sessions look at writing up and presenting family history. There are one-day special courses looking at research into military ancestors, Dorset ancestors, Scottish and Irish ancestors and London ancestors.
Marsh Barn is on the Burton Road in Bridport.
