A TAXI driver believed to be Britain’s most prolific sex offender could have more victims in Dorset, it has been claimed.
Rapist John Worboys was jailed indefinitely last year after being found guilty of drugging and sexually assaulting a string of women passengers.
Worboys, 53, is known to have worked as a cabbie in Bournemouth town centre while living in a holiday flat in Poole.
He was jailed at Croydon Crown Court for offences committed in London’s West End but police always believed he had more victims.
Officers have revealed a further 19 women have come forward since he was jailed, bringing the number of potential victims to 102.
They have not revealed where the women are from but have urged any other possible victims to get in touch.
Worboys, a retired stripper, was handed an indeterminate sentence for public protection after a court heard he attacked women in his black cab between 2002 and 2007.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan Police said: “There is a high possibility that there are more victims out there – the difficulty is that a large number of women do not know whether they were raped or not.”
