CAMPING tickets for a music festival starring Will Young and PJ Harvey at Lulworth have sold out.
Organisers said that tickets allowing people to pitch tents at Camp Bestival went with five weeks to go until the event on July 24 to 26.
Now just a handful of tickets are left for festival-goers to attend without being able to camp on the site.
The second annual extravaganza is expected to attract more than 10,000 people.
Event organisers are hoping to follow up 2008’s resounding success, which culminated in the three-day music and comedy show named Best New Festival at the UK Festival Awards.
Among this year’s big names are Dorset singing star PJ Harvey – performing her only UK solo show – Will Young, Kid Creole and The Coconuts, and Welsh rap outfit Goldie Lookin’ Chain.
The festival, in the grounds of historic Lulworth Castle, runs from Friday to Sunday, July 24 to 26.
It’s the sister festival to Bestival on the Isle of Wight, and was the brainchild of DJ Rob da Bank, who wanted to put on a more family-orientated summer experience.
Mr da Bank said he wanted to thank everyone who had bought a ticket.
This year there are more than 100 events being laid on for children, from performances by and workshops with English National Ballet to the Penguin children’s book tent, circus workshops, donkey rides, glitter wrestling, yoga and much more.
