A car which had been engulfed by flames had to be extinguished by fire crews.
Firefighters from Dorchester rushed to the large fire in Poundbury yesterday at around 9.36pm.
Upon arrival, they deemed that the vehicle was ‘well alight’ and were able to extinguish it with two hose reel jets.
Smoke could be seen pouring from the vehicle as firefighters worked on putting the fire out.
A spokesperson for Dorchester Fire Station said: "Yesterday evening a crew responded to reports of a small vehicle on fire in the Poundbury area.
“The vehicle was well alight, so the crew got to work with two hose reel jets and two breathing apparatus wearers to extinguish the fire – It was a busy day as we attended six incidents.”
