FIREFIGHTERS responded to reports of flames emerging from a multi-storey car park near Poole Quay.
Two vehicles caught on fire and were located on different floors of the multi-storey car park on Old Orchard Road in Poole.
On Saturday, August 24, Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 4.30am to reports of a vehicle fire.
A spokesperson for DWFRS said: “On arrival, we found two vehicles, one of which was still alight.
“They were 100% damaged by fire and unfortunately, there was one vehicle on the first floor and one on the second floor of the car park.”
Three fire crews from Poole attended the incident and extinguished the fire using two hose reel jets and two breathing apparatus.
Hydraulic-cutting equipment was used to access the vehicles so police could identify them.
DWFRS stayed at the scene, assisting the police with vehicle identification, and left at around 5.45am.
The fire service has not confirmed the cause of the fire; however, the police have been notified.
