TRAFFIC is crawling on the A35 near Dorchester as motorists flock to the county.
There are reports of major delays as visitors try to enter the Dorset Balloon Festival, which is being held at Dorchester Showground, just off the A35 today and tomorrow.
Queues of traffic on the A35 from Dorchester to the Tolpuddle Bypass have been reported.
One motorist said: "The queues are horrendous."
The heavy traffic comes as sunny weather lures people to the Dorset coast and at the start of the Mayday Bank Holiday weekend.
