A MAN from Poole has appeared in court after being charged with offences relating to a recent break-in at a convenience store.

Emma Hendy and Luke Spencer appeared in court on April 29 at Taunton Magistrates.

The pair allegedly used a hammer to force their way into the Spar convenience store on Orchard Way in Mosterton and stole multiple items.

The victims – a man and a woman – both sustained injuries during the incident that are not believed to be serious.

The incident occurred on April 27 at around 4am.

Luke Anthony Spencer, 34, from Poole has been charged with conspiracy to commit non-dwelling burglary, actual bodily harm, and driving not in accordance with a license.

This encompasses several alleged offences across Somerset and Dorset including a store in Mosterton, Dorset.

Emma Louise Hendy, 46, from Bridgwater has also been charged with conspiracy to commit non-dwelling burglary and allowing her vehicle to be driven without insurance.

Spencer was remanded in custody, while Hendy was released on conditional bail, until their next appearance at Taunton Crown Court on Friday 31 May.
