Firefighters tackled a farm machinery blaze at a Dorset Farm.
Crews from Sherborne Fire Station scrambled to a farm on Bishop Down Lane, Sherborne yesterday at 1.04pm after a telehandler set alight.
The team were able to quickly extinguish the fire using a hose reel jet and remained on the scene for a further half an hour to make sure that it was fully dampened down.
A telehandler is similar to a forklift but has a boom (telescopic cylinder), making it more like a crane than a forklift.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were mobilised to a telehandler on fire at a farm on Bishop Down Lane.
“Crews quickly extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet and stayed in attendance for a further 30 minutes to make sure it was fully dampened down.”
