Roadworks are scheduled to close part of a Lyme Regis road close to the town centre.
Dorset Council has issued a public notice which will see part of Monmouth Street close to allow for a new service connection to be installed by Openreach.
The closure will come into effect at 9.30am on Wednesday, March 27 and whilst the notice has been issued for five days, the work is expected to be completed on the same day by 3.30pm.
The stretch of Monmouth Street that will be closed from the A3052 Church Street and its junction with Georges Square, a distance of about 25 metres.
A diversion will be put in place and the alternative route will be signposted as follows: Coombe Street - Hill Road - B3165 - A3052
