A MAIN road north of Dorchester is blocked due to a car fire.
The disruption on the A352 comes during rush hour on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 12.
The car fire was reported at 4.05pm near to Minterne Magna.
A fire engine from Dorchester was sent to the scene and on arrival found one car well alight. A firefighter in breathing apparatus and two hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fire.
Police officers attended to assist Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service.
The A352 is blocked at Sandy Lane both ways between the Up Cerne turn off and the Batcombe turn off at Lyon's Gate.
The car blaze is said to be affecting traffic between Cerne Abbas and Lyons Gate.
The incident was reported on Dorset Council's live travel map at 5.07pm.
Traffic was said to be coping well.
The stop message - meaning the incident is under control and no further resources are required - came in at 5.51pm.
Firefighters remained on the scene until 6.20pm.
