Emergency service crews raced to a medical incident on Portland this afternoon.
The air ambulance was scrambled and police and at least three land ambulances attended.
A spokesperson for South Western Ambulance Service said: "We attended an incident at a private address."
They were unable to give any more information due to patient confidentiality.
A Portland resident said: "An ambulance with blue lights flashing followed by a police car has just headed back towards Weymouth.
"Two more ambulances with blue lights came down from Tophill and stopped beside the air ambulance which landed near the Beehive Cafe.
"The air ambulance crew went into the ambulances. The two ambulances then also headed back towards Weymouth."
