A VEHICLE fire caused delays on the relief road between Weymouth and Dorchester.
Police and fire services were in attendance at the scene on the A354 Weymouth Relief Road near Bincombe, which was reported at 10:04 am.
A statement from Dorset Police said: "We received a report at 10.04 am of a vehicle fire on the A354 Weymouth Relief Road.
"Officers have attended along with the fire service and are currently at the scene."
Reports at the time stated that drivers were being told to turn around.
A later update from the police revealed that the emergency services had swiftly dealt with the incident and that the road had been cleared.
A statement from Dorset Police said: "The fire was extinguished, the road was cleared and officers left the scene at around 10.30am."
