A cyclist was taken to hospital following a medical incident near Beaminster yesterday.
Dorset Police said it was called to the A3066 Bridport Road at about 1.50pm after the ambulance service requested some assistance.
Road closures were put in place while emergency crews dealt with the male cyclist.
He was taken to hospital and the road was reopened at about 2.40pm, and the cyclist has since left hospital.
"We received a report at 1.50pm on Sunday, January 1 from the ambulance service requesting assistance as it responded to a medical incident involving a male cyclist on the A3066 Bridport Road near Beaminster," a Dorset Police spokesman said.
"Officers attended and road closures were put in place.
"The casualty was taken to hospital and road closures were lifted around 2.40pm. There was no further police involvement in this incident."
The individual involved has requested any witnesses of the incident to get in touch.
