FIREFIGHTERS rushed to extinguish a car fire this afternoon.
A crew from Dorchester was called to the vehicle fire in Puddletown at around 2.30pm this afternoon.
Two hose reel jets were used to extinguish the flames which had engulfed the car.
A spokesman for Dorset & Wiltshire Fire Service said: "At approximately 14:27 a crew from Dorchester were mobilised to a car fire in Puddletown.
"Upon arrival the car was fully engulfed in flames so crews got to work with two hose reel jets and a single Breathing Apparatus wearer. A stop message went in after the crew extinguished the fire. They then checked and made up all used equipment and left the scene at 15:18."
