A person was rescued through an upstairs window of a property after suffering a medical emergency on Portland.
Firefighters and ambulance crews rushed to Tillycombe yesterday - a crew from Portland Fire Station helped colleagues in the ambulance service gain access to the property using an extendable ladder to reach the first floor window.
A spokesman for the fire service said: "Once the casualty was safe in the hands of the medical staff crews made their way back to home station.
"It's for reasons like this that daytime response is so important to our station."
