A road has been closed after two people were found dead in a car parked at Durlston Country Park.
Police were called by the fire service at just after 8am this morning, after two people were found unresponsive in a car parked at Durlston County Park on Lighthouse Road, Swanage.
Lighthouse Road has been blocked by police and people are being asked to please avoid the area. The closure is expected to be lifted shortly.
Police and the ambulance service attended but very sadly, the bodies of a man and a woman were found inside the vehicle.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: "Very sadly the body of a woman aged in her 40s and a man aged in his 50s were found inside the vehicle. Their next of kin have yet to be informed. No more information will be released until that has been completed.
"Enquiries are underway to establish the circumstances of the deaths, which are not being treated as suspicious. The coroner has been informed."
A Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "Two fire engines from Swanage were called to Durlston Country Park this morning at 8.05am, by colleagues from South Western Ambulance Service.
"Two individuals had been found unresponsive in a vehicle. Firefighters, paramedics and police officers attended the incident. The stop message was received at 10.04am, but firefighters remain on scene supporting other agencies."
