A mobility scooter on fire outside a house was spotted by a passer-by who called 999.
Firefighters were called to Norfolk Road, Weymouth, just after 8am this morning and found a mobility scooter well-alight by the front window of the house.
Two crews from Weymouth attended and extinguished the fire.
Damage was caused to the window and guttering of the house but no smoke or fire spread to inside the property.
The member of the public who raised the alarm also alerted the residents of the house so they could leave safely.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
