A body has been found in the search for a man who went missing in Swanage.
Dorset Police received a report at shortly after 8am on Tuesday, February 11, raising concern for the welfare of 35-year-old Daniel Peay.
There was information to suggest he may be in the Old Harry Rocks area.
Sadly, the body of a man was found shortly before 11am today approximately five miles south west of The Needles on the Isle of Wight.
While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of Daniel. His family has been informed and is being supported by officers. The death is not being treated as suspicious.
Chief Inspector Steve Yeoman, of Dorset Police, said: “Our thoughts are with Daniel’s family and friends at this very difficult time.
“We would like to thank everyone who assisted with searches, including HM Coastguard and the RNLI, and those who shared our appeal.”
