Coastguards have been called out to reports of a dead dolphin in Weymouth.
Officers from Wyke Coastguard went to investigate after being alerted to a deceased dolphin at Bowleaze today (Tuesday, December 31).
A spokesman for Wyke Coastguard Rescue Team said: "Once the badly decayed carcass was located, photographs and measurements were taken and sent to the National Maritime Operations Centre (NMOC).
"Some delicious New Years Eve coffee and cake were then taken at the Harbourside Cafe-Bar."
