A woman experienced ‘double vision’ after falling and hurting her ankle on a footpath.

The incident happened yesterday on the footpath at the top of Hambury Tout above Lulworth Cove.

Lulworth Coastguard Rescue Team was called to assist South Western Ambulance Service.

A coastguard spokesman said: “A woman had fallen and sustained an ankle injury and was experiencing double vision on the footpath.

“The team met with the paramedics at Lulworth Cove, the ambulance then followed the coastguard to the nearest point of access.

“As soon as the teams went off road, the ambulance crew got into the coastguard 4x4 going on to find the casualty together.

“The paramedics checked over the woman and splinted her lower leg.

“She was then carried to the coastguard vehicle and driven back to the ambulance at Durdle Door holiday park.

“With the woman safely in the ambulance, the team were stood down and returned to the station.”
